Earlier this fall, the Government of Alberta designated residential construction site manager as an occupation, and the Alberta New Home Warranty Program funded the development of the program. The Professional Home Builders’ Institute of Alberta is managing training development, the implementation of the course programs and materials, while also maintaining a registry of trainees. The certification for a residential construction site manager is also available on the PHBIA website – and check our new Profile magazine, due out on Feb. 6, for more on this new designation.
