President's Message

Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Calgary Region is one of the most established and respected associations in the country, representing single- and multi-family builders, renovators, land developers, trades, suppliers, and professional companies involved in the residential construction industry. The strong membership provides Calgary and area with housing and communities that are professionally planned and built with integrity and quality.

CHBA – Calgary Region is governed by a strong board of directors, volunteers who lend their expertise and dedicate their time to ensure the viability of the Association and the residential construction industry in the region.

The Association is bound by a code of ethics and standards that provide the structure for unparalleled professionalism in the housing industry.

An association is defined by its members – and the success of the association is dependent on those members.

At Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Calgary Region, our members are our lifeblood. We flourish and succeed thanks to the 620+ members who bring their experience, their expertise, their enthusiasm, and their energy to our organization.

And we are growing. We added 63 new members in the last year, and each new company has brought a diverse new outlook to CHBA – Calgary Region. We welcome our newest additions to our growing family and encourage each new member to take advantage of our many events and opportunities to grow.

And of course, those many events wouldn’t be possible without the enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who give of their time to help us provide the diverse range of value-added programs, services and activities to foster your business and help you network with colleagues in the residential construction industry. We had 218 volunteers help out with more than 40 events last year alone.

A sincere thank-you to those individuals who took some of their valuable time to make sure our association remains strong and viable.

The diverse range of events through our organization includes our nationally-recognized SAM awards, which draw close to 1,500 people, to our always wait-listed Fairmont Golf Tournament, to Builder Breakfasts, monthly dinner meetings with keynote speakers, and our annual HomExpo consumer trade show.

May we continue to be strong, united and working to make the residential construction industry the best it can be.
